We woke up super early this morning and left home at 6:00am while it was still dark, and before breakfast time. The morning was rainy and windy, so we were happy to snuggle up and sleep through it all until our first stop.
Mum and Dad stopped at a roadside cafe just outside of Melbourne where they ate very yum homemade bacon and egg rolls for breakfast. They gave us our breakfast in the caravan for the first time, which was a new experience for us. We were parked in a carpark at the roadside cafe, so it was also our first time eating breakfast in a carpark.
In Glenrowan we saw McDonalds golden arches that burnt down a week earlier!
After a few hours on the road, the rain cleared, and we crossed into New South Wales.
Our next stop was a statue of a dog on a tuckerbox. I was very impressed by his huge water bowl and couldn’t help but drink from it.
We slept in the car for what seemed like hours and hours, before finally arriving in our first destination, Goulburn. We stayed at a caravan park next to the biggest sheep i’ve ever seen!
Once we had finished setting up the caravan, Mum and Dad took us shopping at Bunnings which was just across the road. We aren’t usually allowed in Bunnings without muzzles, but the man at the door was nice and let us in anyway when we promised we were good dogs.
Mum and Dad ate Red Rooster for dinner, and bought us our own chicken to eat. We are so lucky.
After dinner we heard loud music nearby, which turned out to be the Autobarn Winter Car Show across the road. We walked over and saw lots of old and loud cars, and lots of people wanted to meet us and give us pats.
We weren’t quite sure where we meant to relax and sleep in the caravan, but once we figured that out we settled down and had a great first night’s sleep on our trip.
